Meet the Garland Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Garland
Servo Garage Doors Garland has served the city since 2015, and the crew that shows up at your door is the reason the phone keeps ringing. We’re independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, which means every technician works to the same documented rules: written pricing before work starts, photo records when the job is done, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise that isn’t a slogan. The team is small on purpose. Marcus hires people who can name a torsion spring by wire diameter and explain it to a homeowner in the same sentence.
Our People
Marcus Deller, Owner
Marcus has run Servo Garage Doors Garland since 2015, and he still takes emergency calls on weekends. Before opening the Garland shop, he spent twelve years in residential garage door work across North Texas, learning the trade from the hardware up: spring math, opener logic boards, track alignment, the whole chain. He wrote the original service standard that became The Haven Standard, and he’s the one who insisted Clause 1 be a written price before any work starts. You’ll hear him say things like “that 1994 Chamberlain has earned its retirement” while he points to the photo of the failed gear and sprocket. He doesn’t upsell. He documents.
Ray T., Lead Technician
Ray has been with Servo since 2018 and handles the heaviest repair load in Garland, from snapped torsion springs on double-wide doors in Firewheel to opener replacements in Travis College Hill. He’s certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, and Craftsman systems, and he carries parts for all eight major brands on his truck as a matter of routine. Ray can swap a spring set and re-balance a door in under two hours on most homes. He’s also the guy who will show you the old spring’s break point in a photo before he quotes the replacement, because he believes you should see what failed with your own eyes. Off the clock, he rebuilds old motorcycles and applies the same torque-spec discipline to a garage door bracket.
Sofia M., Senior Installer
Sofia joined the Garland crew in 2019 after five years doing new-construction installs for a builder in Rowlett and Sachse. She runs full door installations and replacement work, handling everything from Amarr and Clopay steel doors to Wayne Dalton carriage-house styles. Sofia measures twice and writes the scope down once: door size, track style, opener model, spring count, all of it in the written quote before the first bracket comes off the truck. She’s known for clean tracks, level headers, and the patience to walk a homeowner through the warranty before she leaves. If your opener’s trolley carriage is grinding and your limit switch keeps reversing the door mid-cycle, Sofia will show you the worn parts in a photo and explain what each one actually does.
Daryl J., Apprentice Technician
Daryl started with Servo in 2023 after completing his technical training at a Dallas County trade program. He rides with Ray on most service calls and handles preventative maintenance visits on his own: lubrication, sensor alignment, cable inspection, balance checks. Daryl is meticulous about the photo record, and he’s usually the one labeling images so the customer knows exactly what they’re looking at. He grew up in Garland and knows the neighborhoods, which helps when a customer describes their problem as “the door sounds angry.” Ask him what he’s learning this month and he’ll talk your ear off about torsion spring wind direction.
One Standard, Every Job

The crew in Garland doesn’t guess. Every technician works to the same written rules that have been in place since Servo opened in 2015. Clause 1 means a flat, written price and written scope before any work begins, on every job, with no exceptions. Clause 3 means the customer gets a documented photo record of what was found and what was done before the technician leaves the driveway. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work after the truck is gone. It’s the same standard across the Servo network, but the people executing it here are local: Ray in Firewheel, Sofia in Rowlett, Daryl in South Garland, and Marcus answering the phone at (469) 949-6806. Background-checked, uniformed, and trained to document before they quote. That’s not a franchise model. That’s a local shop that agreed to a higher bar and kept its own license, its own insurance, and its own phone number.
